We must collect certain information to administer the Philips Respironics Personal Injury Settlement (“Settlement Program”). This Privacy Policy applies only to information collected for that purpose. When using the Respironics Personal Injury Settlement Portal and by submitting any hard copy documents or materials to us, you agree to the collection and use of information described in this Privacy Policy.
WHAT PERSONAL DATA DO WE COLLECT ABOUT YOU?
We may collect your personal data to perform our duties as the appointed Settlement Administrator for the Settlement Program and may obtain it from your submitted Claims, your document submissions, or communications with you or your attorney. We may collect personal data about you to process transactions or claims, to determine if you qualify for compensation from the Settlement Program, and to prevent fraud. Where required, we will obtain your consent before collecting it. The personal data may include:
- Name and Address
- Medical or health data
- Social security number and/or taxpayer identification number
- Dates of Birth/Death
WHAT DO WE DO WITH YOUR PERSONAL DATA?
We comply with Federal and State requirements related to the protection of and use of your data. This means that we only share data where we are permitted and required to do so. We also may be required to obtain your authorization before disclosing certain types of personal data. We may use your data in order to:
- Process transactions or claims
- Determine your eligibility for and the amount of compensation from the Settlement Program
- Prevent fraud
- Comply with requirements of the Settlement Program
- Respond to your requests
- Determine lien obligations from insurance carriers, Medicare or Medicaid
We do not sell personal data for any reason. We may share your personal data with other entities authorized to receive it by the Settlement Program to perform services related to your claim.

To protect your personal data, we maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards. We restrict access to your personal data. We also train our employees in the proper handling of your personal data.
HOW LONG DO WE RETAIN YOUR DATA?
We retain your Personal Data so long as it serves the purposes listed in this Privacy Policy, including to perform our required services and duties, send you notices and other important messages, to resolve disputes, to enforce the terms of the Settlement Program, and to comply with our legal obligations.
WHERE DO WE STORE YOUR DATA?
We may store or process your data outside your city, province, or state. Data is stored solely within the United States. Other data storage jurisdictions may operate under privacy and data protection laws different from those of your home jurisdiction. Your submission of data and your consent to this Privacy Policy include consent to such storage and processing outside of your jurisdiction.
